Razale has years of customer service training behind her. You know you are getting a personal service with her positive attitude and friendly manner. Whilst you will probably never see her up a chimney, in February 2023, Razale went on the APICS Chimney Sweep Training Course. She has also shadowed Pascal on his rounds. Working at the coal face (see what we did there!!), allows her to offer you a positive experience when dealing with queries.

Pascal is our fully qualified and accredited chimney sweep. He started out working for an accomplished, qualified engineer. He acquired expert knowledge becoming proficient at chimney sweeping and advanced fault finding. Pascal qualified as a professional chimney sweep in July 2010. In January 2021, he developed his training even further with an NVQ qualification in chimney skills. He regularly undertakes rigorous industry assessments and training to expand his skills and knowledge. He works with due care and attention and to a strict code of practice.

What we do

We work with residential home owners, letting agents, holiday agencies and the hospitality industry. We also provide our chimney sweep services for the commercial sector and corporate companies.

Favouring the traditional brush and rod method to offer more control and precision, Pascal sweeps all types of appliances that burn wood and solid fuel. Manual sweeping helps protect your fireplace and chimney. Soot and debris are extracted using a specialist vacuum, making sweeping a clean and efficient process.

  • Risk Assessment and & Maintenance Inspection carried out to establish your fireplace / appliance is in a suitable condition, safe to use and installed in line with regulations.

 

  • Benefit from Pascal’s expertise on industry regulations and legislation.

 

  • Pascal will talk you through chimney and fireplace safety offering you peace of mind.

 

  • Receive guidance on fuel usage and log storage.

 

  • Valuable advice on how to operate your appliance to its full potential, helping you to heat your property efficiently.

 

  • Assessing cowl suitability and chimney stack condition. Please note we are unable to carry out any roof work such as cowl, chimney terminal fitting or chimney stack maintenance work.

 

  • Bird’s nest removal. If you believe you may have bees nesting in your chimney, this requires either pest control or a beekeeper or chimney sweep who is qualified to remove the bees and any subsequent material. Whilst we do not carry out this work, please contact us as we can hopefully signpost you to the right person.

 

  • Stove maintenance checks include fire ropes, fire bricks, glass doors, dampeners, baffle plates and other stove parts.

 

  • Smoke and draw tests carried out to check for draught, drawing and any leaks.

 

  • Carbon Monoxide (CO2) alarm and smoke alarm testing.

 

  • Certificates issued to comply with insurance.

 

  • Written report outlining faults and potential hazards with advisory notes where applicable.

 

  • Clear pricing with no hourly rate so you know exactly what you will be paying.

When booking an appointment, if you have any additional needs, we take this into consideration so we can carry out our work in the best supportive way.

We work in partnership with the Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service
From this we receive up to date information so we can share fire safety awareness. During our onsite visits, if you are eligible, we can refer you for a free Home Fire Safety Visit.

Appointments
Appointments are Mon – Fri with two hour time slots between 9am – 4pm. Appointment confirmations sent to you via email.
